Abstract:
Provided are: an assembly with which a metal flange is secured, without deviation, to a resin tube at a prescribed position, improving the durability of the resin tube at the site where the tube and flange are secured; and a method for manufacturing the same. A metal flange 2, which has protrusions/recesses on the surface of an insertion hole 3, is positioned at an insertion section 13c provided to a cavity body 13a of a mold 12. A molten resin R injected into the cavity 13 hardens to form a resin tube 5. The metal flange 2 is fitted to a securing groove 7 which is continuous to the entire circumference, in the circumferential direction, of the outer circumferential surface of the resin tube 5. The outer circumferential surface of the securing groove 7 enters into the protrusions/recesses on the surface of the insertion hole 3. A circumferential direction rib 9a, which abuts an end surface of the metal flange 2 and which has a greater diameter than the outer diameter of the resin tube 5 and is continuous to the entire circumference, in the circumferential direction, of the outer circumferential surface of the resin tube 5, is formed on at least one of the two ends in the longitudinal direction of the resin tube 5 of the metal flange 2.
