The present invention relates to an automatic bookmark wherein the bookmark part and seating part are formed by a step wherein a drawing of an automatic bookmark module deployed on one face of an elastic material (elastic synthetic resin, elastic paper, etc.) is subjected to processes of Thomson die-cutting and bending; and a step wherein the automatic bookmark module is separated from said material, bent, and formed into a bookmark. To describe it based on one embodiment, an exploded diagram of the automatic bookmark is given on the strip that surrounds the cover of a book, used on most books for its aesthetic element and advertising, and it has been subject to die-cutting and bending so that a reader may easily remove and assemble said exploded diagram of an automatic bookmark and utilize it as an automatic bookmark. Readers can use the seating part of said assembled automatic bookmark and seat it on a book cover or its page; thus, the automatic bookmark of the present invention may be used semi-permanently and also removed at will if needed. In addition, the bookmark part and seating part of the automatic bookmark of the present invention may be utilized as effective advertisement and note-taking devices. In addition, the automatic bookmark of the present invention may be applied to various merchandises so that it can be utilized as an effective promotion medium in a wide range of applications.
