Abstract:
An assisting force control device 1 includes: a hydraulic pressure assisting force generation unit 11 that generates, using hydraulic pressure, a hydraulic pressure assisting force for assisting the steering of the steering wheel of a vehicle; an electric power assisting force generation unit 12 that generates, using an electric motor, an electric power assisting force in a direction opposite to the steering force of the steering wheel of the vehicle; a position identification unit 131 that identifies the position of the vehicle in a lane in which the vehicle is traveling; and an assisting force control unit 132 that, if it is detected that the vehicle is traveling in a direction deviating from the lane on the basis of the position of the vehicle identified by the position identification unit 131, performs control so as to reduce the hydraulic pressure assisting force for assisting the steering in the direction in which the vehicle is deviating from the lane, and to generate the electric power assisting force for changing the direction of the vehicle to a direction in which the vehicle does not deviate from the lane.
