Abstract:
Power is supplied in accordance with the characteristics of piezoelectric elements in order to atomize a liquid efficiently and prevent the piezoelectric elements from losing piezoelectricity as a result of temperature increases, even if there are differences in the characteristics of piezoelectric elements used in a plurality of atomization devices. The disclosed atomization device has: an atomization determination unit (103) that determines the atomization state of a liquid; a temperature measurement unit (104) that measures the temperature of a piezoelectric element (10); and a power control unit (101). The power control unit controls the supply of power to the piezoelectric element (10) so as to atomize the liquid, and if the temperature of the piezoelectric element (10) reaches or exceeds a predetermined set temperature, the power control unit decreases the supply of power to the piezoelectric element (10) such that the temperature of the piezoelectric element (10) falls below the set temperature.
