Abstract:
A heat insulating cover (cylinder head-side heat insulating cover 30) of the present invention has: an upper wall part 31 that covers the entire engine upper surface which is a surface of the upper side of an engine 1; and first side wall parts 32 that are formed integrally with the upper wall part 31 and that respectively cover upper portions of both side surfaces of the engine 1 in the vehicle width direction. A hinge mechanism 36 for supporting an upper portion of the heat insulating cover, which includes the entire upper wall part 31, is provided to a portion of the heat insulating cover on the vehicle rear side so as to allow the upper portion to be rotated up and down. The upper part of the heat insulating cover is capable of rotating around the hinge mechanism 36 acting as a fulcrum between a closed position for shielding the engine 1 from above, and an open position in which the upper surface of the engine can be seen from the vehicle front side and from above.
