Abstract:
Provided are an audio-signal processing device; an audio device, audio-visual device, video displaying device, and information processing device provided with the audio signal processing device; audio signal processing method; program; and storage medium having the program stored; wherein generation of abnormal noise, due to folding distortion generated when a digital audio-signal is clipped with a digital clipper, can be minimized. An over-sampling converter (23) creates a digital audio-signal with a sampling frequency (fos) higher than the sampling frequency (fs) of that digital audio-signal (upsampling), based on a digital audio-signal outputted by an asynchronous SRC (22), and outputs the digital audio-signal to the clipper (24). The clipper (24) clips (limits) the amplitude (value) of the digital audio-signal outputted by the over-sampling converter (23) to be not less than a first threshold value, and not more than a second threshold value, and outputs that digital audio-signal to a ΔΣ modulator (25).
