Abstract:
The audio-video-equipment shelving - consisting of two side columns of a full cross-section and one rear column with an empty inner space, fixed into the base comprising revolving rolls, a feeding strip and a hole through which to lead the cables, covered from the above with a shelving ring, in which the shelves are fixed on three supports placed in the side columns and the rear column within one horizontal plane, on any height level (to be adjusted), whereas in the rear column's front wall vertically fixed are passes (seal wires) for cables, its rear wall constituting a sliding plate containing holes co-operating with the catches in the form of assembly screws with enlarged diameter of the head - is distinctly characteristic in that the side columns (2) - being connected through spring washers (cushions, 14) with the ring (4) with the use of a mandrel (12) whose upper part is screwed into the neck bush (6) being solidly connected with the bottom part of the ring (4), whereas the lower part of the mandrel (12) containing a groove (12a) and a conical ending (12b) is located in the side column's (2) hole and co-operates with the bolt (13) situated perpendicularly against the mandrel (12) on the groove's (12a) level - have in the front a wall (2a) situated at an angle against the side wall (2b) and comprise the corners (5a) of the shelves (5), whereas inside the rear column (3), underneath each pass (seal wire), pins (16) are located, whereas the real-wall (15) holes have assumed the form of two joined shaped cut-outs (15a and 15b).

An audio-video equipment shelving The subject of the present invention is an audio-video equipment shelving shelving on which to place audio-video equipment, entailing a possibility of adjusting the shelves'arrangement.

The audio-video equipment shelving as disclosed in the submittal specification no. P-315237 consists of one isosceles-trapezoid-shaped rear column, with an empty space inside, and two side rectangular-trapezoid columns with a full cross-section, mounted on a base, and joined with a flat plate in the upper section.

The side columns have cut-outs to insert the shelves into, additionally supported on the supports located in the front wall of the rear column. In the same wall, vertically situated are the passes (i. e. seal wires) for connection cords. The external closing of the rear column is a slidable plate with semicircular cut-outs on vertical edges and with holes placed along the vertical symmetry axis. These semicircular cut-outs co- operate with the catches fixed onto the arms of the rear column.

The basis of the shelving is a rectangular-shaped base, with the corners [side-outlet units] appearing bevelled in the front, in which revolving rolls are fitted along with a partition with a feeding strip and a conduit. In the spot where the rear column is fixed, the base has an open-circle-shaped cut-out, devised for getting through the cables linking the individual pieces of an audio-video equipment with the feeding strip and other external feeding devices. In the base, there is also a hole (compartment) for electric conduits.

The disadvantages of the presented solution include : a fixed positioning of the shelves, not allowing for adjustment of their position and therefore also for adjustment of the amounts of space between these shelves ; scarcity of elements supporting cables in the rear column, and, not-quite-convenient a manner of assembling and disassembling the rear plate, requiring considerable precision in the performance of semicircular holes co-operating with the catches.

The goal of the invention is elimination of these shortages and perfecting the construction in order that its usefulness be increased, along with functional qualities and tasteful appearance.

An audio-video equipment shelving-consisting of two side columns of a full cross-section and one rear column with an empty inner space, fixed into the base comprising revolving rolls, a feeding strip and a hole through which to lead the cables, covered from the above with a shelving ring, in which the shelves are fixed on three supports placed in the side columns and the rear column within one horizontal plane, on any height level (to be adjusted), whereas in the rear column's front wall vertically fixed are passes (seal wires) for cables, its rear wall constituting a sliding plate containing holes co-operating with the catches in the form of assembly screws with enlarged diameter of the head-is characteristic in that, in terms of the invention, the side columns-whilst linked through spring washers (cushions) with the shelving ring with the use of a mandrel whose upper part is screwed into a neck bush, solidly linked with the lower area of the body ring, whereas the lower part of the mandrel, containing an undercutting in the form of a groove and a conical ending, is situated in the side column's hole and co-operates with a bolt situated perpendicularly against the mandrel on the groove's level-have at the front a wall situated at an angle against the side wall and encompass the shelves'corners, whereas inside the rear column, underneath each pass (seal wire), located are cable pins, the holes in the rear wall having the form of two joined shape cut-outs.

A cable pin has flexible arms whose edges co-operate with cables having been inserted into between these arms and the stiffening (reinforcing) ribs linking the pin's arms and the wall, whereas the distances between the arms remain to be adjusted up to one's choice.

The shelving, in terms of the invention, is a state-of-the-art and comfortable construction unit with adjustable volumes of space between the shelves, cables set in an order and pinned into the pins piaced inside the rear column, a certain linkage of the ring with the side columns and a more convenient manner of superimposing the rear wall onto the catches situated in the rear column.

The invention's subject is displayed in the exemplary work as shown in the figure. Namely, Fig. 1 presents a bottom view of the shelving ; Fig. 2-a front view of the shelving ; Fig. 3-a view of the shelving through a glass ring; Fig. 4-the manner in which the shelving ring is linked with the side column ; Fig. 5-the manner in which a shelf is supported and the possibility of how to place it vertically; Fig. 6- a cross-section of the rear column with a top view of the cable pin ; Fig. 7-phase one of installing the rear wall on the catches in the rear column ; Fig. 8-the rear wall as installed on the catches ; Fig. 9-a pin (front view) ; and, Fig. 10-a pin (end- viewed).

In the work example presented, the audio-video equipment shelving consists of the base (1) whereon two side columns (2) and on rear column (3) are placed. A line linking the side columns' (2) and the rear column's (3) mounting spots makes up an isosceles triangle.

On the columns (2) and (3), a ring (4) is positioned with which connected are, in a solid manner, three neck bushes (6) whose spacing corresponds to that of the columns 2 and 3. Into two neck bushes (6) belonging to the side columns (2), screwed are mandrels (12) with grooves (12a) and a conical ending (12b). Their bottom parts are located in axial holes of the side columns (2) and secured from falling out with a bolt (13) placed perpendicularly against the mandrel (12) on the groove's (12a) level. The conical ending (12b) facilitates driving the mandrel (12) into a side-column (2) hole.

Between the bottom area of the bush (6) neck and the top surface of each side column (2) as well as the rear column (3), situated is a spring washer (cushion, 14) which liquidates any clearance of the connection.

The side columns (2) and the rear column (3) have holes (11) made on different levels, whereas on every single level in each of the columns (2,3) there is one hole (11. In these holes (11), supports (10 are fixed, on which shelves (5) are supported. The three-point support of the shelves (5) liquidates the problem of their possible swinging, which is of essential importance to the use of an audio-video equipment, once placed thereon.

The holes (11) render feasible the assembling of shelves (5) on different levels, thanks to which factor one can adjust the volume of space between the shelves (5).

The rear column (3) is isosceles-trapezoid-shaped, as viewed in a cross- sectional manner, with an empty inner space. The front wall (3a) and the side wall (3b) form a cable duct (passage), dosed in the rear with a wall (15). The rear column (3) can be made of two elements, as displayed in the work example, or, as a monolithic unit. All over the front wall (3a), there are cable holes spread with passes (seal wires, 7). On the side of the cable duct underneath each of the passes (seal wires, 7), a pin (16) is located. These pins (16) have flexible arms (16a) equipped with reinforcing ribs (16b) adjacent to the wall (16c). The spacing of the arms (16a) is such that the edges (16d) get clipped on the inserted cable. The distances between the arms (16a) are adjusted to the thickness of the variety of cables as in use with audio-video equipment. The pins (16a) are fixed in the manner of one's choice, e. g. with staples, adhesive (a glue), etc.

The rear wall (15) is fixed on catches (17) constituted by assembly screws with enlarged head diameters, located in side walls (3b) of the rear column (3).

Assembly and disassembly of the rear wall (15) is made possible upon two interconnected cut-outs (15a and 15b). The cut-out (15a) is an oval hole with the width and length exceeding those of the catch (17) head, whereas the cut-out (15b) is of a width exceeding that of the core diameter yet smaller than the catch (17) head. Such a shaping of the cut-outs (15a and 15b) renders possible the rear wall's (15) resting against the external area of the rear column (3)-cf. Fig. 7, and its subsequent lowering, the result being the upper edge of the cut-out (15b) being supported on the catch (17) core-cf. Fig. 8, thus functionally enabling adjacency of the rear wall (15) to the rear column (3).

In the bottom segment of the column (1), located are the rolls (8), of which in the work example there are three in the front and two in the rear, as well as a terminal strip (9).

The shelving's new construction renders it more universal, durable, and tasteful.
