Title:
AUDITORY EVENT RELATED POTENTIAL MEASURING SYSTEM, AUDITORY EVENT RELATED POTENTIAL MEASURING DEVICE, AUDITORY EVENT RELATED POTENTIAL MEASURING METHOD, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/057928
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
This auditory event related potential measuring system for hearing evaluations suppresses fluctuations in auditory event related potential originating from variations in arousal, and reduces variations in user arousal by presenting, as well as auditory stimulation, video at a size considered suitable in order to measure auditory event related potential with high accuracy. This auditory event related potential measuring system includes: a size determining unit that determines the size of an area in a video such that the viewing angle of the diagonal of the area of the video to be presented to the user has a range of greater than 2 degrees and less than 14 degrees; a video output unit that presents, to the user, the video including the area having the size determined by the size determining unit; an auditory stimulation output unit that presents auditory stimulation to the user while the video is presented to the user; a biological signal measuring unit that measures the electroencephalogram signals of the user; and an electroencephalogram processing unit that acquires the event related potential from the electroencephalogram signals, starting at the time when the auditory stimulation was presented.
