Abstract:
The present description provides an augmented reality (AR)-based image processing method and apparatus, and an electronic device. For an image in an RGBA format, the RGBA value of the pixels in the image in the RGBA format is read by a graphics processing unit (GPU); the GPU can quickly compute a YUV component value according to the RGBA value of the pixels; then the YUV component value computed by the GPU is read, so that the image in a YUV format can be obtained. According to embodiments of the present description, the conversion between the RGBA format and the YUV format can be quickly performed by using the hardware acceleration capability of the GPU, and the image processing speed is high, so that the requirement on the speed in an AR scene can be satisfied.
