The purpose of the present invention is to provide an augmented reality content generation device and an augmented reality content generation method, both of which enable automatic determination of the manner in which instance data is to be arranged in accordance with the position and attitude of a camera. The augmented reality content generation device according to the present invention is provided with: an input image acquisition unit which acquires, as input images, a plurality of images that are of a same object and that appear differently from each other; an instance data acquisition unit which acquires instance data of augmented reality content to be disposed with respect to the respective input images; an input image difference calculation unit which calculates, as input image differences, differences between the respective input images; an instance data difference calculation unit which calculates, as instance data differences, differences of the instance data from the respective input images; and a correction parameter calculation unit which calculates a correction parameter for correcting the manner in which the instance data is to be arranged with respect to an image on the basis of the input image differences and the instance data differences.
