Abstract:
Disclosed is an optical system for an augmented reality device. The optical system comprises: an image projection light source; and a polarization light splitter having a light splitting face close to the image projection light source and a transmissive face facing away from the image projection light source, wherein the polarization light splitter is arranged in such a way that the image source light emitted by the image projection light source can be incident on the light splitting face non-perpendicularly thereto and is at least partially reflected thereby, and the polarization light splitter is configured in such a way that after the light is incident on the light splitting face, a polarized light component polarized in a first direction passes through the polarization light splitter and is transmitted through the transmissive face, and a polarized light component polarized in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction is reflected from the light splitting face, and wherein the optical system further comprises a polarizer arranged between the image projection light source and the light splitting face of the polarization light splitter, and the polarizer is configured to be capable of transmitting the polarized light polarized in the second direction and of absorbing the polarized light polarized in the first direction.
