Abstract:
[Problem] To diversify a position game on the basis of position information, and further improve entertainment properties. [Solution] An augmented reality display system, which synthesizes virtual objects with video of the real world, and displays said virtual objects, is provided with: a camera 121 for capturing the video of the real world; a position information acquisition unit 144 which acquires, as position information, the coordinates and the orientation at the time the camera 121 captures the video; an image analysis unit 145a which analyzes, as depth information, the relative distance between objects in respective pixels which form the captured video of the real world; a virtual display data generation unit 145b which generates, on the basis of the position information acquired by the position information acquisition unit 144, virtual display data on real map information M1 including geographical information of the real world; and a synthesis processing unit 145g which, in accordance with the depth information, displays, superimposed on the video captured by the camera 121, the virtual display data generated by the virtual display data generation unit 145b.
