AUTHENTICATION METHOD, BASE STATION, USER EQUIPMENT, AND CORE NETWORK ELEMENT

The present invention relates to an authentication method, a base station, user equipment, and a core network element. The authentication method comprises: a base station receiving a first message sent by user equipment, wherein the first message includes uplink data, an identity of the user equipment and a first authentication result; sending an authentication request message to the core network element, wherein the authentication request message includes the identity of the user equipment, or a group identity of a group which the user equipment belongs to, or a cell identity of a cell which the user equipment belongs to; receiving an authentication response message sent by the core network element, wherein the authentication response message includes a second authentication result, the second authentication result being an authentication result calculated by the core network element according to the authentication request message; and comparing the first authentication result with the second authentication result, and if both are the same, sending the uplink data to the core network element. By security verification of user equipment via a base station, the present invention avoids access of data of unauthorized UE to a core network element, enhancing safety, and saving transmission resources compared to the prior art.
