Abstract:
An authentication method for the mobile terminal and a system thereof are provided, the method includes that: the mobile terminal uses the preestablished password P to decrypt the key A which is stored in the user information file, and gets the key Ki for authentication; in the authentication process, the mobile terminal uses the key Ki and the random number which is sent by the network side to generate the encrypted authentication response data, and sends it to the network side; the network side verifies the authentication response data sent by the mobile terminal, after verifies successfully, sends back the authentication successful answer; wherein, the user information file is stored in the local memory of the mobile terminal or in the mobile memory device connected to the mobile terminal. By using the method and system of the invention, the user can select and use the service registered by the same number (IMSI) in several mobile terminals or PCs etc., and the use and exploitation of new service is favorable.
