Abstract:
In this authentication method, mutual authentication is performed between a controller and a first device, a group key is created and shared with the controller and the first device, and the first device is set as a reference device. Next, at a group key update time, at which the controller and the reference device update the group key, mutual authentication is performed between the controller and a second device that is not a reference device, and the updated group key is shared with the second device. Transmission data is encrypted using the group key, and encrypted data is generated. A MAC is generated from the transmission data, a header, a transmission source address, and a transmission destination address. Simultaneous multi-address communication of a message containing the encrypted data, the header, the transmission source address, the transmission destination address, and the MAC is carried out.
