Title:
AUTOANALYZER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/087137
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A type of autoanalyzer with a specimen pretreatment function wherein a specimen to be measured is pretreated and thereafter dispensed to and analyzed in an analyzing section has been proposed conventionally. However, in an autoanalyzer of such a conventional type, all specimens are carried to the analyzing section via a pretreatment section regardless of whether the specimen is pretreated or not. Therefore, when a specimen with no pretreatment is analyzed, a pretreatment unit is not required, whereby a loss occurs in the aspects of cost and installation space. When a specimen is pretreated, not only a minimum quantity of specimen is required in order to cause the specimen to react with the process liquid but also the residual specimen at the pretreatment section may have an adverse effect on the results of analysis. A sampling mechanism having a function capable of accessing to a plurality of dispensing positions without fixation of the sucking and dispensing positions is constituted in an autoanalyzer having an analyzing section and a pretreatment section.
