Title:
AUTOANALYZER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/014620
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Dispensing failures occur in cases when a dispensing probe aspirates air or becomes blocked when aspirating samples or reagents. To solve this problem, an autoanalyzer equipped with a dispensing mechanism (15) for dispensing samples from sample containers (10) to reaction containers (35), and an analysis means (61) for analyzing the contents of the reaction containers (35) is characterized in that the dispensing mechanism (15): comprises a pressure generation mechanism (69) for changing the pressure within a nozzle, and a dispensing channel (24) for connecting the nozzle and the pressure generation mechanism (69) and holding a pressure-transmitting medium therein; has an oscillator (27) for imparting oscillations having a specified frequency to the pressure-transmitting medium in the channel, and a pressure sensor (26) for detecting the pressure within the channel; and is provided with a mechanism (76) for detecting whether or not samples are aspirated normally into the nozzle, on the basis of the amplitude or phase difference of a specified frequency component extracted from the output of the pressure sensor (26).
