Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide an automated analyzing device which detects, with a high degree of accuracy, an abnormality in an electrode that is a component of an agitating mechanism, while suppressing a deterioration in processing capability. To this end, an automated analyzing device according to the present invention comprises a specimen dispensing mechanism for dispensing a specimen into a reaction vessel, a reagent dispensing mechanism for dispensing a reagent into the reaction vessel, an agitating mechanism having an electrode, a reaction disk for rotating and stopping the reaction vessel, and a control unit which, when the reaction vessel containing a mixed solution of the specimen and the reagent has stopped at an agitating position, applies a voltage to the electrode to emit ultrasound waves into the mixed liquid, wherein, during operation, the control unit measures an electrical impedance by applying a voltage to the electrode when the reaction vessel, into which a liquid has been dispensed by the reagent dispensing mechanism in an empty state, has stopped at the agitating position.
