Abstract:
Provided is an automated guided vehicle for a container, comprising: a vehicle body; an electric motor provided in the vehicle body; a controller which is mounted upon the vehicle body and which controls the electric motor; and an emergency stop device which is capable of an emergency stop during travel without the involvement of the controller. The emergency stop device comprises: an optical axis sensor which is disposed upon a lateral surface of the vehicle body and which detects an occlusion of light arising from interference with a laser beam; and a switch which cuts off a power supply to the electric motor on the basis of the detection by the optical axis sensor of the occlusion of light. The vehicle body comprises a display unit whereupon is displayed the position of the laser beam extending at the optical axis.
