Provided are an automated money handling device, an automated money handling system, and an authenticity level setting method, with which running time efficiency of an automated money handling device is improved and carrying out smooth system operation is possible. An automated money handling device which handles paper currency comprises: a storage unit which stores an authenticity determination level which is an authenticity determination reference for paper currency which is set for each operating form of the automated money handling device, transaction data including the authenticity determination result for transacted paper currency, and the operating form of the device; and an authenticity determination level establishment unit which, according to the authenticity determination result which is included in the transaction data, resets the authentication determination level corresponding to the operating form of the device, and causes a determination of the authenticity of the paper currency at the authenticity determination level thus reset.
