Abstract:

This automated sampler (2) for a chromatograph is provided with: a sampling needle (4) that moves while the tip thereof faces vertically downward; a switching valve (8) that has a plurality of ports to which flow paths constituting the chromatograph are connected, and that switches the flow path configuration by switching the connection state between the ports; and an injection port (12) that has, on the upper surface thereof, an opening (32) for fluid communication between the needle (4) and a tube (14) into which the needle (4) is inserted from the tip thereof and which passes through one port of the switching valve (8), and that has a needle seal (38) for liquid-tight fluid communication between the needle and the tube by coming into contact with the outer circumferential surface of a tip section of the needle (4) when the tip section is inserted from the opening (32). The tube (14) is configured such that an end surface (15) on the injection port (12) side faces vertically upward, a wide component (28) is fixed to an end section on the injection port (12) side, and the end surface (15) of the tube (14) is exposed to the upper surface (30) of the wide component (28). The injection port (12) is provided with: a housing (34) having a recess section (36) for fitting and accommodating therein, from above, the wide component (28) fixed to the end section of the tube (14); and a cap (42) having a through-hole that forms the opening (32) and attached to the housing (34). The needle seal (40) is arranged on the upper surface (30) of the wide component (28) fitted into the recess section (36) of the housing (34), and the needle seal (38) is pressed against the end surface (15) of the tube (14) by the cap (42) attached to the housing (34).
