Abstract:
An objective of the present invention is to allow only a specified user to hear audio guidance during a transaction using an ATM, and to allow the user to also hear the audio guidance even when away from the ATM. When a medium goes unwithdrawn, the presence of a user (52) is sensed with a proximity sensor (19). If the user (52) is near the front of the ATM (10), guidance concerning the unwithdrawn medium is outputted by a directional speaker (20). If it is determined that the user is away from the ATM (19), the guidance concerning the unwithdrawn medium is outputted by an omnidirectional speaker (17). It is thereby possible to keep other users of nearby ATMs (10) from hearing the audio guidance when the user (52) is operating the ATM (10). A further effect is that the user (52) may hear the audio guidance immediately after leaving the ATM (10).
