Abstract:
An automated warehouse provided in front of a device, comprising: a rack (300) which has shelves (301) arranged in the vertical direction, the left-right direction, and the front-rear direction and which also has a path located between the shelves (301) arranged in the left-right direction, the path allowing an object to pass therethrough; and a transfer device (110) which is disposed in front of the rack (300) and transfers an object (202) to be placed on any of the shelves (301). The transfer device (110) is provided with: a holding means (105) for releasably holding the object (202); a front-rear rail (109) extending in the front-rear direction and connected to the holding means (105) so as to be slidable in the front-rear direction; a left-right rail (120) extending in the left-right direction and connected to the front-rear rail (109) so as to be slidable in the left-right direction; and a vertical rail (103) extending in the vertical direction and connected to the front-rear rail (109) so as to be slidable in the vertical direction.
