Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing an automated warehouse such that pallets can be easily inserted into and removed from a storage rack. In order to solve the problem, the invention is provided with: pallets (P), each comprising a carrier (33a) and an engagement projection (33b) provided on a pallet body (25); a storage retrieval mechanism which comprises a pallet carrier guide (39) mounted on each storage shelf (15-1,2,3) and having a carrier surface which allows a pallet (P) to travel, and a slide drive means (23) for horizontally sliding pallets (P) to and from each storage shelf (15-1,2,3) of the storage rack (13); a drop slot (41) provided on the pallet-insertion side of each pallet carrier guide (39), said drop slot (41) receiving the engagement projection (33b) of a pallet (P); and a pallet elevating means (23) for raising and lowering the engagement projection (33b) of a pallet (P) between a drop height position and a non-drop height position.
