1. "Automatic Adhesive Tape Device" includ ing a body, characterized By a rotational part CU/ pivoted inside the said body pivoting on a terminal, 5 kept in position by a spring C7I against its upper portion to maintain the roll of. adhesive tape rota¬ tional.
2. "Automatic Adhesive Tape Device", JJ characterized By a rotating tape pressure cylinder 0 (9) pivoted on the Bottom of a rotational part CU on another terminal, such cylinder and conduction of the edge of the said tape, adapted, to penetrate, through an opening C10.1 in the Bottom of said body C3I when the rotational part CU is pivoted down. 5.
3. "Automatic Adhesive Tape Device", charac terized by a rotational disc C12I pivoted on the said body, which is placed Between the lateral plate of the body and the rotational part CU pivoted above, and below, and a blade CIS), mounted on the said disc :0 for cutting the adhesive tape.
Description:
Specification of the Patent for . an "Automatic // Adhesive Tape Device"

The present invention consists of a pra_c tical, useful and functional automatic adhesive / 5 tape device or, more specifically, a device for / automatically cutting such tape.

Adhesive tape is- used manually and the ' / desired- length is- drawn from the roll of tape, cut and applied to.parcels-, envelopes-, cartridges and 10* other objects in order to seal them properly. In ' / practice this is an unpleasant task Because of the nature of adhesive tape.

The object of the present 'invention-does away completely with this drawback, in addition to 15 providing important advantages which shall appear in the course of the following description and in the drawing which, illustrates the invention* and is part of the description thereof, namely: Figure 1 is a perspective view of the automatic adhesive // 2Q tape device, and Figure.2 is a side view of the same device. The object of the invention is to provide an automatic device for cutting such tape after it has been applied.

• Another object of the invention is to //

- * -c provide a tape cutter which is practical and easy

OM

to use, as well as being of low-cost construction. (Page two of the Originall

As may Be inferred from the drawing, the automatic adhesive tape device which is the object 5 . °r- the present . " invaition Basically consists of a // rotational part CD- mounted within the body of the cutter C3] which is * impellaBle ± relation to the latter on its removable, tubular part place en an axle * •C5), projecting laterall from a plate C4I of the

! " 0 * body (31.

' The rotary part QX includes a hollow case covered on one side, A tubular mounting tape Cl a I projects internally from the other side of the same . in order to maintain rotatively a roll C2I of . /•/ 15 adhesive tape. The rotational part dl_ is compres. sed on its internal uper portion by a flat spring (7} whose lower end ts attached to the body C3)_, / the upper endi-being supported by the rotational part. The-action of pushing the rotational element CH 0 above the body C3I is limited by a stop C81.

A tape pressure cylinder C9-Ϊ is rotatively

" pivoted on the left side of the Bottom of the J rotational part CH. When the latter is pivoted _// lawn against the elasticity of the. spring (7}_, the 5 " tape pressure cylinder projects itself from inside

-

O

an opening C10-I in. the Bottom of the Body C3I .

The tape guide Bar CUT projects laterally from the. side of the rotational part ClI. to guide the adhesive tape (21 from its roll to its conduction terminal C2 I , and projects slightly from the* // opening (101 when the rotational part is impelled downward.

A Blade of a -mounting disc C12I is pivot •ed in a recess of the. side plate C I of th Body, and placed between the side plates of the Body C31 and the rotational part. The (Page three of the //* originall disc C12∑. is provided with a radial slot (131 into which a pin CX L is fitted which projects itself toward the. Back dn the same side of the JJ rotational part Cllt A cutting Blade C15I. is-^moun ed obliquely on the transportation part of the same. ' J (12 * ) , projecting sideways * from the disc C12L, The blade (15)_ is normally in its cutting position as shown in Figure 2 . - When the rotational part G.1 is pivoted down, disc (.12).. rotates * clockwise to withdraw the blade from its cutting position, provided that pin (.141 occupies the slot C1 I,

In operation, the adhesive, tape cutting device, according to this invention, is placed on

OM

th≤ surface to be sealed C15J. and the rotational / part CH pivoted down to the adherence position, in order that cylinder C2I presses against the tape and the conduction terminal C2 a -I of the same projects

•._/ from opening C1GI.

When the tape cutter slides along the // "surface (161 to this side, with the tape pressed // against the surface By pressure cylinder C2-Ϊ, the tape adheres to the surface. -

JO When a length of tape is desired, the " rota tional part is then released to allow it to return . to its normal position under the flexibility of the flat spring ( L«.The tape pressure cylinder. C9-1 shall Be removed from inside the Body C3I, and disc J !5 • C121 and also blade. C15∑. rotate clockwise.and cut the - adhesive tape from its roll. The other side place / C17L of the .body C3I is removable CPage four of the original! to allow a new roll of tape to.be placed on the tubula -mounting element Cl a -I.-As mentioned above,

•**.0 the tape guide bar CHI serves to. guide terminal C2 a ) to the correct adherence position.
