Abstract:
The present invention provides an automatic analysis device capable of detecting a specimen container even when there is no barcode label affixed to the specimen container. The present invention comprises: a reagent specimen disc 11 which has at the outer peripheral part thereof a placement part 15 for placement of a specimen container 13 containing a specimen to be analyzed; a two-dimensional code 12 which is disposed on the reagent specimen disc at a positioned rearward of the placement part; a bar code 14 which is disposed on a side surface of the specimen container; a sensor 16 which is disposed at a position in front of the placement part and which is capable of reading the two-dimensional code and the bar code; and a control unit 18 which uses the output signal from the sensor to determine whether or not the specimen container 13 has been placed in the placement part 15, on the basis of whether or not the contrast value of light reflected from the two-dimensional code is greater than or equal to a preset threshold.
