Abstract:
The present invention relates to a blood vessel anastomosis device, and more particularly, to a blood vessel anastomosis device that uses a suture to automatically perform a blood vessel anastomosis operation. An automatic blood vessel anastomosis device according to the present invention includes a plurality of needle couplings, a plurality of sutures, and a clamp. The needle couplings are installed on an end of a first blood vessel and on an end of a second blood vessel, respectively, and include a plurality of elastic protrusions and a plurality of anastomosis needles. The elastic protrusions are arrayed at constant intervals along outer surfaces of the first and second blood vessels, and are bent to the outside of the first and second blood vessels. The anastomosis needles extend from the ends of the elastic protrusions to the outer surfaces of the first and second blood vessels. The sutures are continuously coupled to and along the anastomosis needles, and join the edges of the first and second blood vessels by means of a rotation of the elastic protrusions toward the outer surfaces of the first and second blood vessels. The clamp installs the needle couplings on the first and second blood vessels, and is then removed. One of the sutures is attached to the first blood vessel, then the first and second blood vessels are connected to each other, then the other of the sutures is attached to the second blood vessel, and then the suture attached to the first blood vessel is coupled to the suture attached to the second blood vessel.
