Abstract:
Provided is an automatic braking device provided in a vehicle employing a diagonal type of braking system. The device is provided with: a yaw rate sensor; a steering angle sensor; a first pressure-regulating valve for regulating a hydraulic pressure in a right front wheel cylinder; a second pressure-regulating valve for regulating a hydraulic pressure in a left front wheel cylinder; and a controller for controlling the first and second pressure regulating valves. The controller calculates a turning amount deviation on the basis of a standard turning amount corresponding to a steering angle and an actual turning amount corresponding to a yaw rate. If the turning amount deviation is greater than or equal to a predetermined amount, the controller determines a deflection direction of the vehicle on the basis of the yaw rate, and makes a correction to increase a hydraulic pressure target value for one and a correction to decrease a hydraulic pressure target value for the other.
