An automatic bread maker (1) is provided with: a second rotating shaft (11) connected in a power transmittable manner to a first rotating shaft (82) provided at the bottom of a bread container (80); a first motor (50); and a first power transmitting section (PT1) including a clutch (56) which selects whether or not to transmit power and capable of transmitting the rotational force of the output shaft (51) of the first motor (50) to the second rotating shaft (11). The clutch (56) is a dog clutch having first clutch claws (561a) and second clutch claws (562a) engaging with the first clutch claws (561a). During the period after the first motor (50) is used while the clutch (56) is set to a state in which the clutch (56) transmits power, until the clutch (56) is switched next time to a state in which the clutch (56) interrupts the power, at least either the first clutch claws (561a) or the second clutch claws (562a), the first clutch claws (561a) and the second clutch claws (562a) being in contact with each other, are rotated in the direction in which the either the first clutch claws (561a) or the second clutch claws (562a) are separated from the other clutch claws.
