Abstract:
A household appliance comprises a housing, a water tank, and an ice maker. The water tank can be attached to the housing. The ice maker is arranged inside the housing. The ice maker is in fluid communication with the water tank. The household appliance can further comprise a pump arranged inside the housing, at least one discharge pipe attached to the housing, and a controller. The pump may be in fluid communication with the water tank and the ice maker, so as to make water flow from the water tank to the ice maker. The at least one discharge pipe can define an outlet point, which is located vertically below the ice maker. The controller can initiate a cleaning cycle, and the cleaning cycle comprises pumping a certain volume of a cleaning solution to pass through the ice maker and guiding the certain volume of the cleaning solution to pass through the at least one discharge pipe.
