Abstract:
A method is described for automatically detecting defects in a workpiece surface and generating a robot program for machining the workpiece. According to another example of the invention, the method comprises locating defects in a surface of a workpiece and determining a three-dimensional topography of the located defects and classifying at least one located defect on the basis of its topography. Depending on the category of the at least one defect, a machining process is selected, and according to the selected machining process a robot program is established with the aid of a computer for the robot-assisted machining of the at least one defect.
