Abstract:
Provided are an automatic driving assistance system, automatic driving assistance method, and computer program that make it possible to appropriately restore automatic driving control in a vehicle having passed through a branch point through travel via manual driving. The invention is configured such that during traveling via automatic driving control in an automatic driving section where automatic driving control of a vehicle is allowed, if there is a branch point that satisfies prescribed conditions in front of the vehicle in the travel direction, a transition is made from automatic driving control to manual driving via the driving operations of a user, and after the vehicle has passed through the branch point satisfying the prescribed conditions through travel via manual driving via the driving operations of the user, automatic driving control is restored.
