Abstract:
An automatic fabric spreading machine wherein there is no decrease in the number of units processed even when a handling error occurs. The automatic fabric spreading machine is provided with: a separating means for singling pieces of fabric from a fabric mass consisting of multiple pieces of fabric, using a fabric handling device; an edge-finding means for finding the edge of each singled piece of fabric; a spreading means for spreading the piece of fabric wherefor the edge has been found; and a discharge means for discharging the spread fabric to a later step. The separating means has a plurality of fabric handling devices performing identical processes, and using the multiple fabric handling devices, performs in parallel at least one step out of one or multiple steps of a process for singling the pieces of fabric from the fabric mass.
