Abstract:
An automatic faucet comprises: a faucet; an imaging unit (26) that is provided in the discharge port of the faucet and that captures light reflected from an object subject to distance measurement; a distance measuring unit (32) that measures the distance from the imaging unit (26) to the object subject to distance measurement on the basis of the imaging data captured by the imaging unit (26); a threshold value setting unit (35) that sets a threshold value for the distance; a detecting unit (34) that detects the object that was subjected to the distance measurement as a detected object when the distance measured by the distance measuring unit (32) is less than the threshold value set by the threshold setting unit (35); and a water supply controlling unit (33) that discharges water from the faucet when the detecting unit (34) detects the detected object and that stops the water discharge from the faucet when the detecting unit (34) does not detect the detected object. The threshold setting unit (34) increases the threshold set value when the detecting unit (34) detects the detected object.
