Abstract:

An automatic fiber core focusing method and system for machining an optical fiber grating, and a storage medium. The method comprises: collecting, in real time, an image of an optical fiber to be machined that is on a three-dimensional translation stage; adjusting the relative positions of said optical fiber and a microscope lens in a Z-axis direction until it is recognized that two boundary lines are formed between a fiber core and cladding in the image; and calculating the position of the central point of the two boundary lines on the three-dimensional translation stage, and adjusting, according to the position, the position of said optical fiber on the three-dimensional translation stage until the XY coordinates of the central point coincide with the XY coordinates of a laser focal point. According to the embodiments of the present invention, by means of image recognition technology, the central position of a fiber core needing to be machined can be rapidly and accurately found, thereby guaranteeing the machining precision, improving the machining quality and success rate, and improving the machining efficiency. The embodiments of the present invention are mainly implemented by using software, and only a low-cost image sensor needs to be used for a hardware portion, without needing to make a great change in existing laser machining systems; therefore, the whole solution is economical and efficient.
