Title:
AUTOMATIC FILM SWITCHING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2005/037650
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An automatic film switching device capable of continuously transferring a film by enabling the switching thereof by the secured connection of films, comprising a film connection part (30) formed of a thermally welding and fusing mechanism which connects the terminal part (FE1) side of the film (F1) from a supply film roll (R1) to the start end part (FS2) side of the film (F2) from a standby film roll (R2) by thermal welding and enables the fusion of the excess portion (FY1) of the film (F1) positioned on the terminal part (FE1) side of the supply film roll (R2) and a film end separating part (40) enabling the separation of the excess portion (FY1) of the film (F1) when the terminal part (FE1) side of the film (F1) is thermally welded to the start end part (FS2) side of the film (F2) by the film connection part (30). When the films (F1) and (F2) are connected to each other by thermal welding, a tension is applied to the excess portion (FY1) of the film (F1) positioned on the terminal part (FE1) side of the film (F1) by the exclusively installed film end separating part (40). Since a tensile action is applied to a heated and molten portion, the films can be easily separated from each other starting at the molten portion.
