Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention is an automatic focusing method. The method comprises: dividing an image to be focused into a plurality of windows; selecting at least two adjacent windows from the plurality of windows as a region of interest; acquiring phase differences between the windows in the region of interest; according to at least one phase difference that meets a set confidence threshold value, determining an object distance with the maximum clear area of the region of interest; and focusing on the region of interest at the object distance. Compared with the prior art, the method of the present invention makes it possible that, on the basis of the principle that a phase difference is proportional to the degree of defocus of a picture, an object distance with a maximum clear area in a region of interest in an image or a video frame is calculated by means of a phase difference that meets a confidence threshold value, and focusing is then performed at the object distance, such that the region of interest in the image or the video frame is substantially clear, and the photographing quality of the image is thus improved.
