Abstract:
The invention describes an automatic border frame bending machine for bending round or strip steel and a method and a device for making spring mattresses. It is the object to configure the border frame bending machine in such a way that border frames of the widest possible variety of types can be made automatically in a manner which is simple in terms of construction without risk of loss of material or distortion of the border frames. The intention is, in addition, to achieve simple integration of the border frame bending machine into a production line. For this purpose, a reel is provided, from where the material passes through a wire straightening apparatus consisting of a rotor and rollers, and there are furthermore measuring and tension rollers, followed by the bending device, and a cutting device and a centring plate, hydraulic motors controlled by a microprocessor-based operating unit being provided for driving and bending.
