Abstract:
An automatic lathe capable of rapidly and easily switching between the machining of a material in which a guide bush is used and the machining of the material in which the guide bush is not used, comprising a support table fixing means (15) having a head stock (6) and a guide bush support table (1), having a spindle drive motor (8) installed on the head stock (6), having a guide bush rotating motor (11) installed on the guide bush support table (1), and fixedly positioning the guide bush support table (1), a guide member (12) installed on the guide bush support table (1) rotatably so as not to be moved forward and backward and having a through-hole for inserting a spindle (3) therein, a guide bush (4) detachably fitted to the tip of the guide member (12), and a spindle fixing means (37) fixedly positioning the spindle (3) on the guide bush support table (1) at a specified position when the guide bush (4) is removed from the guide member (12).
