Abstract:
An automatic programming device provided with: a machining area shape-generating unit for generating machining area shape data, which is the shape of the machining area to be machined using machining unit data; and a chamfering tool path-generating unit for generating, when the machining area shape is a region to be chamfered, chamfering tool path data for the chamfering from chamfering data, which includes machining area shape data, data on the tool used, and data on machining conditions. When chamfering the boundary area between a machining area shape, which is defined on a curved surface that is a raw material shape, and the raw material shape, the chamfering tool path-generating unit generates, as chamfering tool path data, a machining path for achieving the chamfering by machining in two axial directions: a rotation axis parallel to the central axis of the raw material shape; and a linear axis parallel to the bottom surface of the machining area shape.
