Abstract:

An automatic punching riveting device, comprising a die (18) having a center pin (25) receiving a hollow portion in the leg part (5) of an automatic punching rivet (1) and a die body (27) having a recessed part (26) for guiding the deformation of the leg part tip of the automatic punching rivet in radial outer direction formed on the outer peripheral side of the center pin (25), wherein the center pin (25) and the die body (27) are movably supported, relative to each other, along the axial direction of the center pin (25) facing a punch (14), and a disc spring (41) moves the center pin (25) relative to the die body (27) so that, when the automatic punching rivet (1) pressed by the punch (14) is driven into tightened members (2) and (3) and the leg part tip thereof starts to pierce the tightened member (3) on a receiving side, the center pin (25) can be brought into contact with the die side surface of the tightened member (3) on the receiving side, whereby the restriction of the driving direction of the tightened members can be relieved or eliminated.
