Abstract:
The invention relates to an automatic reel changer (1) comprising a reel stand, in the receptacle (03A, 04A) of which at least one material reel is rotatably mounted, and a transport device (08, 12, 16, 23) for transporting at least one new material reel and/or at least one residual reel casing, from which the material has been at least partially unwound. According to the invention, the transport device (08, 12, 16, 23) runs transversally to the longitudinal axis of the mounted material reel underneath the reel stand.
