Abstract:
[Problem] To allow an occupant to release the restraint of a seatbelt device even under conditions where the occupant cannot take action to release the engagement between a tongue and a buckle due to injury in a collision or the like. [Solution] A seatbelt device B restrains an occupant M sitting on a seat S by the engagement of a buckle 14 with a tongue 15 provided on a web. In order to release the restraint of the seatbelt device B, for example, an actuator 35 for releasing the engagement between the buckle 14 and the tongue 15 is installed within the buckle 14. When a voice instruction (such as the articulation of all the words "emergency", "belt", and "release") given by the occupant M to release the restraint is detected by a microphone 32, a controller U activates the actuator 35.
