Abstract:
An automatic speed changing method and apparatus for a variable-speed bicycle. The bicycle comprises an uphill mode; the uphill mode comprises two or more shifting mechanisms; and the shifting mechanisms correspond to corresponding shifting intervals according to a slope in an uphill direction, and the greater the slope, the lower the shifting gear. By means of a multi-gear shifting mechanism of an uphill mode, the present invention ensures riding comfort and torque balance of an automatic variable-speed bicycle during an uphill riding process, and can achieve a good riding experience.
