Abstract:
Provided is an automatic steering device such that steering wheel vibrations can be restricted, and that angular control can be smoothed. In the automatic steering device, a motor (7) which steers wheels-to-be-steered (5) is controlled by a control unit (control device) (12). Information from an angle sensor (steering wheel detection unit) (8) which generates a signal corresponding to the steering angle of the wheels-to-be-steered (5) is transmitted to the control unit (12). The control unit (12) corrects a target steering angle so that the angular acceleration of the target steering angle of the wheels-to-be-steered (5) will not exceed a limiting value. Furthermore, on the basis of information from the angle sensor (8), the control unit (12) controls the motor (7) so that the steering angle of the wheels-to-be-steered (5) will follow a post-correction target steering angle.
