Abstract:
When a first automatic stop condition is met while a vehicle (1A, 1B) is stopping or when a second automatic stop condition is met while the vehicle is traveling, an internal combustion engine (2) of the vehicle is automatically stopped. The first automatic stop condition requests that the battery voltage or the battery charge state of a battery (21) is a first threshold value or more, and the second automatic stop condition requests that the battery voltage or the battery charge state of the battery (21) is a second threshold value or more. By setting the second threshold value larger than the first threshold value, an opportunity for automatic stop of the internal combustion engine (2) is ensured while power requests from electric loads (26, 27) when the internal combustion engine (2) is restarted are satisfied.
