Abstract:
An automatic stop device for vehicle engines comprises: an automatic stop controller that, while the vehicle is stopped, automatically stops an engine if preset conditions to initiate automatic stop are satisfied but prohibits engine automatic stop if the conditions to initiate automatic stop are not satisfied; a restart controller to automatically restart the engine after the engine has been automatically stopped if the preset conditions to cancel automatic stop are satisfied; and a storage unit to store causes for prohibiting automatic stop when automatically stopping the engine was prohibited while the vehicle was stopped or causes for automatic restarts when an engine that has been automatically stopped was automatically restarted.
