Abstract:
An automatic tape processing apparatus (110) is capable of automatically performing: sequential alignment of respective cutting areas (Q1, Q2) of a carrier tape (21) and a top tape (22) with a cutting position (Lc) by controlling a feeding apparatus (120) and a peeling apparatus (150) on the basis of detection signals transmitted from a detecting apparatus (140); and sequential cutting of the carrier tape (21) and the top tape (22) at respective cutting areas (Q1, Q2) by controlling a cutting apparatus (160). Consequently, since there is no need to perform tape cutting operations by an operator, the workload of the operator can be reduced. Furthermore, since the operations are not affected by the skill level of the operator, efficiency of setting a component packing tape (2) to a tape feeder (90) can be improved.
