Abstract:
This automatic teller machine is provided with a customer interaction unit which receives or dispenses banknotes, a conveyance unit which conveys banknotes, a differentiation unit which acquires at least the serial number of a banknotes, a recycle box or deposit box which houses the banknotes in order, a device storage unit which stores a housed banknote serial number list of the serial numbers of banknotes housed in the recycle box or deposit box in the order said banknotes are housed, and a deposit/withdrawal device control unit which, if a conveyance error occurs in the conveyance unit for a banknote received from the customer interaction unit, displays on an operation display unit a notification that allows differentiating between the serial numbers of banknotes that were housed in the recycle box or deposit box prior to receiving the banknote through the customer interaction unit, and the serial numbers of banknotes housed in the recycle box or deposit box subsequent to the banknote being received by the customer interaction unit and prior to occurrence of the conveyance error.
