Abstract:
An automatic test travel system for traveling vehicles, that causes a driverless vehicle 20 to travel and performs a travel test on the driverless vehicle 20, using a driving control unit 25, along a circular course 11 comprising a banked curved path. The driverless vehicle 20 comprises: a travel unit 22 and a steering unit 23, for traveling along a travel path; and a detection unit for detecting the travel state on the travel path. The driving control unit 25 detects the position, speed, and orientation of the driverless vehicle 20 on the basis of the detection results from the detection unit in the driverless vehicle 20, drive-controls the travel unit 22 and the steering unit 23, and causes the driverless vehicle 20 to drive laps around the circular course. The driving control unit 25 also refers to a lateral tilt angle on the banked curved path 11c, calculates a steering angle from pre-created map data for the circular course 11, and drive-controls the steering unit 23 using the calculated steering angle.
